Details

Shimano’s stiff SH-R170 Shoes will ignite your road-riding passion. The carbon fiber soles put your power to the pedals while the supple open-mesh uppers increase breathability for incredible comfort even on the hottest days. Sleek, low-profile micro-adjust buckles and dual offset straps allow you to fine tune your fit on the fly, and Shimano’s Dynalast technology secures your feet for a more efficient upstroke.

The four common cleat bolt patterns.
In order to mount your pedal cleats to your shoes (cleats are included with new pedals and sold separately), the cleats and shoes must have matching bolt patterns.

There are four cleat configurations found on cycling shoes (diagram): SPD-R, Look/SPD-SL, SPD and Speedplay. Road shoes feature one, two or even three of these. Off-road shoes usually use the SPD pattern. If you're unsure which cleats your shoes require, please ask us. We're here to help!

    Comments:

I've had these shoes for a few months now and have no complaints. Light-weight, secure, stable, cool and comfortable. Ample room in the toe box without feeling loose or sloppy. The sole is nice and stiff and my feet really feel planted. The build quality and detailing seemed a smidge better than others similarly priced. A bit on the pricy side but so far worth it in terms of comfort and function. Nice styling, I like the black version.
