The Big River Gravel Series is a four race gravel series here in the area surrounding the Quad Cities! We're extremely excited to support this series this year and watch gravel racing grow in our area! Hell of the Wind

March 28, 2026

The 2025 Big River Gravel Series will start with a bang! Hell of the Wind 5.0 will take place from Camp Liberty in New Liberty, Iowa on Saturday, March 22!

April 25, 2026

1904- It was the last year there were no paved roads in Illinois. All the roads were narrow, curvy and made of dirt, rock, or bricks. The 1904 course very much resembles this pre-paved era. The race starts at The Bike Barn in Morrison, IL! Come check out the fresh course!

Burning Quad

July 11, 2026

Road + Gravel = Groad. This event is unlike any of the others. The course is made up of tarmac and chip seal, with gravel and dirt sectors. Erie, IL, July 11.


Turkey Burner

October 31, 2026

The Turkey Burner will be the final stop of the Big River Gravel Series! The event will take place from Camp Liberty! New Liberty, IL Saturday, October 31.

Magic Island Mayhem is a Fatbike and/or Trail Running Race

Sylvan Island - Rain or Shine (And hopefully Snow)

8 mile Fatbike Race, 4 mile Run. You can choose do to either, or both!

Proceeds from this year's race go to the North Scott Youth Mountain Bike Team!

Sylvan Island Stampede

The 2026 FORC Side Thrill Ride is on Sunday June 14, 2026 with a Scholastic League Race on Saturday, June 13!

  • Tour of the Mississippi River Valley (TOMRV)

  • June 7 & 8 

A QCBC Classic! Back for 2025 and back to the classic Dubuque and back route!

This two-day adventure takes riders through scenic paved roads, rolling Midwest farmland, quaint towns, and along the beautiful Mississippi River.

Riders enjoy scheduled rest stops with plenty of food, making it a well-supported and social ride.

Lead Ore Gravel

Saturday, October 3

Lead Ore Gravel has teamed up with the ultra distance race, the Driftless Dagger, to form a weekend long festival in the most underrated cycling destination the Midwest. The party will get started on Friday afternoon with shakeout rides, a kids race, and packet pick up. The festival will take place at Chestnut Mountain Resort which is located in the heart of Driftless country while also overlooking the Mighty Mississippi.

August 14 & 15, 2026

Want an event that tackles every imaginable riding surface all in one day? Click over to Core4 in Iowa City, IA. Spend a day on champagne gravel, the best b-roads, amazing urban experiences, and super fast singletrack that Iowa City and the surrounding area have to offer. For 2025 Core4 is part of the Gravel Earth Series!
